Before the studio recording, the music videos and all the fame there was the cypher. The cypher is when there is a group of rap artist freestyling so in other words making up there rhymes as there going, and there is also a dj on the turn tables playing the beats sometimes they switch up the beats or they'll just keep the same beat going the whole time. You can still see this all over the world but now with the studios and everything you dont seem to see people having cyphers on the streets as much people are all trying to make demo cd's and send them to top named producers when really every ten cd's they probably throw out, sucks because sometimes they probably throw some good talent out just because they were too lazy to slip the cd in the stereo system.

Our Fallen Soldiers
Rappers always love to beef, that's when a rapper disses another rapper on a song. It always happens and it always will, back in the day it was more serious when rappers made diss track it got people killed over songs pretty stupid eh. For example when Tupac and Biggie were beefing they both got killed over it and it started a west coast v.s east coast. It was almost like no east coast rappers went to the west coast for concerts and vice versa. All though we have the some pretty good rappers in the game right now they will never compare to Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls. Other rappers that were last because of violence was Proof and also Bugz from d12.

Hip Hop ain't dead it's just been missing Jay-Z
Everyone has been saying that hip hop is dead and it’s never going be the same, I disagree with that simply because Jay-Z has just came out with a brand new album. Jay-z released The Blueprint 3 on September 9th 2009. It’s been two years since Jay-Z dropped his last album, American Gangster which was his tenth record. On his latest The Blueprint 3 he has brand new single with his protégé Kanye West and the great singer Rihanna called “Run this town’’. On this album he collaborates with a lot of the best in the game such as, Alicia Keys, Drake from Toronto, Young Jeezy, Pharrell and Kid Cudi.

Who's the best in the game now?
As everyone knows there are a few rappers killing it such as Lil Wayne, Kanye West, T.I and Jay-Z. But what people don’t realize is that Marshall Mathers also known as Eminem is back and just dropped his new album on may 19th, called the Relapse. Everyone has been asking where is Eminem is he even going to come back in to the rap game? Well I’m pretty sure the relapse was worth the wait. In my opinion it’s the best rap album of 2009. The Relapse debuted number one in the states selling over 608 000 domestic copies in its first week and over 1 000 000 worldwide.
